One Rule

No TID, no sale.

Every tree listed on Bonsai Market must carry a verified TID from bonsaitracker.com. The TID is the tree's permanent identity — its origin, age, training history, prior owners, and health record. Think of it as a VIN paired with a full service log. Without one, the listing cannot be published. Pots, tools, and soil are welcome too and don't require a TID.

  1. 01

Create or connect your tracker account

The same login works on both sites — bonsaitracker.com and bonsaimarket.net.

  2. 02

    Complete payouts onboarding (Stripe Connect)

Identity verification, bank, and tax info. This is heavier than the hobbyist setup, and it's required before you can list anything for sale. Until payouts are enabled, your listings stay blocked and existing ones show "This seller is finalizing payouts."

  3. 03

    Register the tree

Add the specimen on the tracker — photos, species, age, origin, training notes. A permanent TID is issued. Pots, tools, and soil don't need a TID.

  4. 04

    Publish the listing

Pick which items to list. The TID and full record travel with the sale.

  5. 05

    Buyer receives the record

On purchase, ownership transfers on the tracker. The new owner inherits the full chain of custody.
